Zero Gravity Outdoor Baby Swing

ZERO Gravity 2 Person Swing

Buy this if: you have two children that will want to play at the same time

Now, if you have two children that are always asking ‘when’s my turn?’ then this product is a great buy for you.

With a payload of 90kg it easily can hold the weight of two children, even most adults! and being available in two different designs (magic carpet or flying UFO) it really does suit everyone.

It’s easy to put together and comes with the tools needed as well as ground pegs to secure it to the ground to make it safer.

Zero Gravity has manufactured it with thicker, 55mm poles to increase the durability and safety of the unit and gives it a really nice thick study and high-quality feel.

The only downside we feel is that it’s recommended for children over 3 years old but would be great fun for smaller children too.

Homcom Outdoor Toddler Swing

Hedstrom Folding Toddler Swing

Buy this if: you want a small indoor swing.

The Folding Baby Swing is Small. We just want to make that clear before you make your purchase decision, it’s only really suitable for children under 1-year-old.

But now for the good stuff, you can easily use this swing indoors or outdoors, but we would say its better for indoor use due to its size. The ropes on the seat are adjustable to can be changed as your baby grows.

It’s very easy to clean, with the frame being wipe clean and the seat is a fabric easy wash material.

One thing to bare in mind if you are going to use this outside is that it has the anchor point to use ground pegs but doesn’t include the ground pegs themselves and they will need to be purchased seperatly.

Hedstrom Single Outdoor Baby Swing

Hedstrom Single Swing

Buy this if: if you have less space in your garden

For those with slightly less space, one child or just looking for something simple, then the Hedstrom single outdoor swing is a perfect addition to your garden.

A couple of things we would like to mention, the suggested max weight of this unit is 45kg with an age range of 3-10 but we would suggest you work on half those figures. The frame itself is sturdy enough but some simple testing showed stress at 30kg+ so we would suggest sticking under that weight.

If concreted into the ground it works very well and is secure but doesn’t include any ground anchors and to concrete in you’ll have to go that yourself.

A small amount of assembly is required but it’s very simple to put together.

The Best Baby Outdoor Swings Buying Guide and FAQ

How to Choose the best outdoor baby swing

Safety

Making sure your swing is made from safe materials, has the correct available anchor points, and is easy to clean is a must!

Versatility

Can your outdoor baby swing be used both indoors and outdoors? This is something to look for which can help keep the kids occupied on a rainy day.

Size

Make sure that the size of your swing fits where you want to put it and if you want to use it indoors that it’ll fit too. You also want to make sure the seat is also the right size.

Weather Resistant

If you plan to have your baby swing outdoors full-time you’ll need to make sure that it’s made from weather-resistant materials or powder coated for longevity.

Budget

Sticking to your budget when buying an outdoor baby swing is key. Unfortunately children grow out of these things very quickly so you don’t want to overspend.

Age

Most outdoor baby swings have recommended age limits from the manufacturer

Weight Limit

Along with age limits they also have weight limits which you need to be aware of as the frames can give way if you overdo it.

How High off the Ground Should Your Baby Swing Be?

Your baby swing should be at least 24 inches from the bottom of the seat to the ground.

Hi there! My name is Jose, and I’m a proud dad to a beautiful 4 year old. As a parent, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate the world of parenting and child-rearing. But one thing that’s always been important to me is finding the best products available for my child.
