Zero Gravity has manufactured it with thicker, 55mm poles to increase the durability and safety of the unit and gives it a really nice thick study and high-quality feel.

Hedstrom Single Swing
Buy this if: if you have less space in your garden
- Attractive Colours
- Simple to Assemble
- Reasonably Priced
For those with slightly less space, one child or just looking for something simple, then the Hedstrom single outdoor swing is a perfect addition to your garden.
A couple of things we would like to mention, the suggested max weight of this unit is 45kg with an age range of 3-10 but we would suggest you work on half those figures. The frame itself is sturdy enough but some simple testing showed stress at 30kg+ so we would suggest sticking under that weight.
If concreted into the ground it works very well and is secure but doesn’t include any ground anchors and to concrete in you’ll have to go that yourself.
A small amount of assembly is required but it’s very simple to put together.
Pros
- Attractive Colours
- Simple to Assemble
- Reasonably Priced
Cons
- No Ground Anchors included

Safety
Making sure your swing is made from safe materials, has the correct available anchor points, and is easy to clean is a must!
Versatility
Can your outdoor baby swing be used both indoors and outdoors? This is something to look for which can help keep the kids occupied on a rainy day.
Size
Make sure that the size of your swing fits where you want to put it and if you want to use it indoors that it’ll fit too. You also want to make sure the seat is also the right size.
Weather Resistant
If you plan to have your baby swing outdoors full-time you’ll need to make sure that it’s made from weather-resistant materials or powder coated for longevity.
Budget
Sticking to your budget when buying an outdoor baby swing is key. Unfortunately children grow out of these things very quickly so you don’t want to overspend.
Age
Most outdoor baby swings have recommended age limits from the manufacturer
Weight Limit
Along with age limits they also have weight limits which you need to be aware of as the frames can give way if you overdo it.
How High off the Ground Should Your Baby Swing Be?
Your baby swing should be at least 24 inches from the bottom of the seat to the ground.
